Greece 2019 Erasmus+ Trip

On the 20th of January we, Sophia Crotty, Hannah Young, Katie Leddy, Niamh McCorry and Ava Sheils travelled to Athens in Greece as part of an Erasmus + programme.
During our stay we were hosted by different students from the local school, Arsakeio Tositseio Ekalis. Throughout the week we got to experience different elements of Greek culture and interact with a variety of students from many countries such as, Spain, Norway, Romania, Greece and the Netherlands.

On Monday and Tuesday we spent the days in the school carrying out personal, locality and emigration presentations. We also got to complete different workshops like Greek music, dance and soap making. We also watched a Greek play. In the evenings we had free time to see local attractions and take part in fun activities.
On Wednesday and Thursday we went on excursions to see amazing famous Ancient Greek attractions like the Acropolis and Delphi Ruins. We also spent some time in an old idyllic Greek town called Arachova.
We are extremely grateful for this trip, it was an amazing experience to mix with students our own age from different countries. We got to experience different languages, cultures and traditions. It was also wonderful to see the ancient landmarks and beautiful attractions that Greece has to offer.
