When can my daughter apply for a place in First Year in Loreto?

Applications for a place on a Waiting List for admission to Loreto College Cavan are taken in Loreto College on the first Saturday in February of the year before the calendar year in which the student wishes to be enrolled, that is, when the student is in 5th Class in Primary School.

We are moving to Cavan, how do we apply for a place in Loreto?

An Enrolment Enquiry Form (Transfer Student) must be completed and is available from the Secretary’s Office.

Is my daughter allowed to bring her mobile phone to school?

No.
If a student needs to have a mobile phone for after-school use, the phone must be left in the Principal’s Office/Deputy Principal’s Office immediately on arrival at school and collected at 3.38p.m. Under no circumstances may a mobile phone be used in the school premises or on the school grounds at any time from arrival at school to departure from school without the permission of the Principal, Deputy Principal or Head of Year.
Teachers are authorised to confiscate mobile phones, whether in use or not in the school premises or on the school grounds.
Confiscated phones will be retained by the school for one week and may be collected from the school Principal/Deputy Principal at 3.38pm on the day they are due to be returned to the student.
