Cross Country

Cross country running is a very popular option as an extra-curricular activity for many of the students here in Loreto College Cavan. The season runs from the start of October through to the end of February and incorporates a number of different competitions including the Geraldine Dolan Memorial Event, the Cavan Schools Cross Country, the Ulster Schools Cross Country and the All-Ireland Schools Cross Country. Loreto Cavan have a fine tradition in Cross Country running producing numerous provincial and All Ireland Champions such as Catriona McKiernan and Clodagh O’Reilly. Training for the cross country season begins in September and runs right through until the end of the season.
